In only its second year as a one-day event, Ride On raised over $1 million for cancer research, with 100% going straight to the cause. Our B.C. TD team of 30 riders raised over $76,000. Here is what hearing about 20 years of progress made me think about.
Six years ago you said yes to a charity ride you had no business joining. No bike, no gear, no clue what you were doing. It taught you that "that's not me" usually just means "not yet," and that we don't discover who we are so much as build it.
Watching Briar Rose reach six months old and seeing Matthias learn to ride his bike has been a reminder of just how fortunate our family is.
